WISA AGM

The Wine Industry Suppliers Association (WISA) held its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, at ThincLab, University of Adelaide Business School. The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on achievements, report on the 24/25 financial year, welcome new Management Committee members, and acknowledge those retiring from their roles.

Re-elected Chair Liz Schoen, highlighted the industry-wide challenges that continued to affect both wineries and suppliers, while also recognising the significant outcomes delivered during the period. These included the successful 2024 Wine Industry Impact Awards & Gala Dinner, strengthened cross-industry collaboration with Wine Communicators of Australia, ASVO, Wine Australia and the Adelaide Business School, preparations for WineTech and AWITC, ongoing member engagement, continued partnership in the Wine Industry Mentor Program, and support for the Rootling initiative through enhanced access to working groups.

The WISA Management Committee remains largely unchanged. Steven Scott (Vinarchy) retired after four years of service across two terms, and WISA extends its sincere thanks for his valuable contribution. WISA also acknowledges outgoing Public Officer/Secretary Amy Bishop, who will officially conclude her five-year tenure in January 2026. Anna Lindsay (Rural Freight Connections) was elected to the role of Public Officer/Secretary.

WISA is pleased to welcome two new members to the Management Committee:
Aaron Haw (Cork Supply) and Melissa Raymond (Garden & Field).

The new Management Committee comprises:

Executive Chair: Liz Schoen, Consulting
Vice Chair: Eric Wilkes, AWRI
Treasurer: Ron van Buuren, Hydra Consulting

Committee Members:

Chair Liz Schoen emphasised the strength and diversity of the new committee:
“Our Management Committee reflects the breadth of expertise across WISA’s membership, strengthened by an even gender split that ensures diverse perspectives at the table. With a casual vacancy opening in January, we are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with expertise in viticulture, legal or accounting fields who would like to contribute to WISA’s future.”
