WISA Launches Inaugural Wine Industry Impact Summit to Drive Productivity and Profitability Across the Australian Wine Value Chain
Adelaide, South Australia – The Wine Industry Suppliers Association (WISA) today announced the inaugural Wine Industry Impact Summit (WIIS), a dynamic one-day event bringing together the Australian wine sector to drive measurable improvements in productivity, profitability and performance across the entire wine value chain.
Scheduled for Thursday, 13 August 2026 at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide, the day before the Wine Australia Market Update, WIIS presents a compelling reason for industry professionals to arrive in Adelaide a day earlier and make the most of their time in the city. Together, the two events create a powerful back-to-back program covering both the strategic direction of Australian wine and its practical, on-the-ground execution.
WIIS is designed for two key audiences: winery owners, CEOs, general managers and operations leaders who make the strategic and operational decisions that shape the future of their businesses; and suppliers seeking to understand the innovation pathways that turn new ideas into real-world adoption, learning from others who have successfully navigated the journey from concept to commercial impact.
A Summit Built Around Business Impact
WIIS zeroes in on how wineries make decisions, the strategic thinking and operational management choices that determine whether a business thrives. Every session is designed to connect insight with action, helping decision-makers identify what works, what doesn't, and how to get results faster.
For suppliers, WIIS offers a rare opportunity to understand the innovation adoption journey — exploring what it takes to get a great idea out of the lab or the showroom and into consistent use across the industry. Peer learning and shared experience are at the heart of the program.
"The Wine Industry Impact Summit is about turning knowledge into action. We want every delegate to leave with strategies they can implement immediately, and connections that will support their business for years to come."
— Liz Schoen, Executive Chair
The program will deliver:
• Practical strategies to help wine businesses improve performance and competitiveness
• Showcases of industry research and supplier-led innovation already delivering measurable impact in the field
• Insight into how the power of partnerships — between researchers, suppliers and producers — is reshaping what is possible for Australian wine
The summit is hosted by WISA with thanks to presenting partner Wine Australia, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening the long-term competitiveness and sustainability of the Australian wine industry. The collaboration underscores the power of strategic partnerships in driving sector-wide progress.
