WIIA is a wine business focused awards program to capture and inspire connection and implementation that delivers IMPACT. Whether entered as a WISA member solely or together with a wine industry partner, WIIA provides the amplified voice to new ideas and collaboration.

SIG has launched Australia’s first recycle-ready bag-in-box for wine, made at its Adelaide facility using mono-material SIG Terra RecShield film. Fully recyclable, including bag, tap, and carton, it supports national packaging targets and sustainability goals, reducing environmental impact while maintaining wine quality through local innovation and collaboration with leading producers. Working alongside Hill-Smith Family Estates, Vinarchy, DeBortoli Wines, and Calabria Family Wines, SIG has ensured the packaging maintains wine quality through shelf-life and transport trials, giving producers confidence in its performance while helping them meet their own sustainability commitments.
Visy and Wirra Wirra
Wirra Wirra partnered with Visy to reduce its 750ml wine bottle weight by 25%, from 547g to 410g. The lighter, recyclable bottles maintain premium appeal while cutting CO₂ emissions, raw material use, and transport impacts. This initiative advances sustainability, supports a circular economy, and sets a benchmark for climate-conscious wine packaging.
Amorim Cork & Endeavour Drinks Group - ReCork
The ReCork program, a partnership between Amorim Cork and Endeavour Drinks Group, is Australia’s first large-scale natural cork recycling initiative. By collecting used corks from Dan Murphy’s and BWS, it transforms waste into new products, advancing sustainability, circular economy practices, and consumer engagement while reducing landfill and supporting climate goals.
