2025 Wine Industry Impact Awards Finalists

Southern Premium Vineyards (SPV) owns and operates vineyards in Australia’s finest and most productive wine grape regions including the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Limestone Coast and the Riverina.
Established in 2020, SPV offers wine producers a grape supply solution for their wine grape sourcing as an alternative to owning or leasing vineyards.

In addition to its extensive portfolio of owned and managed vineyards, SPV offers vineyard and project management services along with technical consulting through its subsidiary company Advanced Viticulture and Management (AV&M).

SIG Group & Hill-Smith Family Estates

SIG has launched Australia’s first recycle-ready bag-in-box for wine, made at its Adelaide facility using mono-material SIG Terra RecShield film. Fully recyclable, including bag, tap, and carton, it supports national packaging targets and sustainability goals, reducing environmental impact while maintaining wine quality through local innovation and collaboration with leading producers. Working alongside Hill-Smith Family Estates, Vinarchy, DeBortoli Wines, and Calabria Family Wines, SIG has ensured the packaging maintains wine quality through shelf-life and transport trials, giving producers confidence in its performance while helping them meet their own sustainability commitments.

Visy and Wirra Wirra

Wirra Wirra partnered with Visy to reduce its 750ml wine bottle weight by 25%, from 547g to 410g. The lighter, recyclable bottles maintain premium appeal while cutting CO₂ emissions, raw material use, and transport impacts. This initiative advances sustainability, supports a circular economy, and sets a benchmark for climate-conscious wine packaging.

Amorim Cork & Endeavour Drinks Group - ReCork

The ReCork program, a partnership between Amorim Cork and Endeavour Drinks Group, is Australia’s first large-scale natural cork recycling initiative. By collecting used corks from Dan Murphy’s and BWS, it transforms waste into new products, advancing sustainability, circular economy practices, and consumer engagement while reducing landfill and supporting climate goals.

Wine Australia empowers the success of the Australian wine sector through Research, Innovation and Adoption to enhance global competitiveness and meet the challenges of tomorrow, today; Market Development to increase the demand and premium paid for Australian wine; and Regulatory Services to safeguard Australian wine’s integrity and uphold the sector’s reputation. Wine Australia is funded by the sector, for the sector, through grapegrower, winemaker and exporter levies and user-pays charges, with matching funds from the Australian Government for research and innovation. Established under the Wine Australia Act 2013, it is a Commonwealth Government statutory authority.

Hydra Consulting led the WA Wines to the World program, driving export growth despite national decline. Through a 50% co-funded model, 130+ global activations, and 177 engaged producers, WA wine exports grew 22% in value share. Hydra’s strategic management delivered lasting industry impact, global recognition, and strengthened Western Australia’s wine reputation. 

Turnaround Services Global

DMG Fine Wines transformed from a fragmented group of 14 entities into a unified, efficient business through TSG’s nine-month Sage X3 integration. The project streamlined reporting, compliance, and cost allocation, proving that operational excellence and artisanal craft can coexist—empowering winemakers while delivering real-time insights and lasting competitive advantage.

Commerce7

In July 2025, Commerce7 launched Australia’s first DTC Master Series, a program dedicated to helping wineries grow direct-to-consumer sales. Across two states and 80+ wineries, experts shared strategies on personalisation, loyalty, and tourism trends. The series fostered collaboration, actionable learning, and innovation—positioning DTC as central to sustainable winery growth.
