About Us
Kirk’s Total Wine Australia manages two warehouses in major Australian wine regions: Margaret River, WA and Adelaide, SA. We import, stock and distribute Oak Barrels from Burgundy, France as well as from Santiago de Chile (American oak).
The founder of the company, Kirk Bauer has been supplying wineries throughout Europe with barrels, special containers and other equipment for about 15 years. Kirk Bauer has a degree in Oenology & Beverage Technology (University of Geisenheim, Germany) and he is passionate about wines. He is in fact also a member of different juries at international events such as Mundus Vini, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and other global wine awards. He is recognized by many of his customers as a real wine refiner if it comes to consultancy and fine-tuning.
At Kirk’s Total wine we work in close collaboration with Thibaut Montgillard cooperage in Burgundy and supply wineries with tailor-made oak barrels to suit every winemaker's needs.
We have a selection of barrels available in various sizes and toastings stored at our warehouses in Cowaramup , Western Australia and in Adelaide, South Australia, ready for an immediate supply. We can arrange delivery to all regions of Australia guaranteed to arrive at your door step in days. Our aim is to have a permanent supply of barrels and associated products (such as amphora's, concrete eggs, oak segments and technology for humidification and sanitisation) from our central locations in Australia to save winemakers and wineries owners all of the issues associated with pre ordering their barrels months before vintage.
